Wrexham cabbie stopped with passengers on board is charged with drink driving

The 54-year-old motorist was arrested near Hope after police saw the vehicle swerving on the A550
A taxi driver has been charged with drink driving after being pulled over near Hope in Wrexham.

Officers in North Wales Police's roads policing unit spotted a taxi swerving on the A550 shortly after 4pm on Wednesday.

The taxi was pulled over and the driver was breathalysed and failed.

The passengers in the car had to make "alternative arrangements", North Wales Police said in a statement.

The 54-year-old driver, who is local to the Wrexham area, has since been charged with drink driving and will appear before Mold magistrates on May 22.

Does not matter who the passengers were,if they were friends perhaps a charge of aiding and abetting some one to commit the offence of drink driving would be apt in this example.
Agree whole heartily with Sussex.
