are thwere no safe areas of the uk now UPDATED: A taxi driver is understood to have been robbed in broad daylight and at ‘knife point’ in Cowes this afternoon (Wednesday). 5 Police units responded to the scene on Mill Hill Road Windmill Close near Love Lane at just after midday following what is understood to be alarming reports that an armed robbery had just occurred. Island Echo has been told that the male suspect had been picked up as a fare in Ryde, but when the taxi reached its destination the robbery began. |
