Fake doctor, 38, who posed in scrubs to seduce women on Muslim dating site Shaadi.com then blackmailed them after secretly filming them naked is ordered to pay back thousands
Farhan Mirza was working as a taxi driver but convinced women he was a doctor
He then covertly filmed the women naked and blackmailed them over footage
His three victims included a doctor, a journalist and a psychology graduate
Mirza, who met two women on Muslim site Shaadi.com, is serving an eight-and-a-half year jail term

A fake doctor who posed in scrubs to seduce wealthy Muslim women on a dating site before blackmailing them with sex tapes has been ordered to pay nearly £3,500 to his victims.
Farhan Mirza, 38, was working as a taxi driver but convinced single women looking for potential husbands on Muslim matchmaking website Shaadi.com that he was a high-flying doctor.
He then made covert films which showed them naked, before threatening to publish the footage unless they gave him money.
His victims included a real doctor, a journalist and a psychology graduate.
Mirza, described in court as a 'sexual and financial predator', was jailed for eight-and-a-half years in November last year.
Newport Crown Court heard Mirza had pocketed £8,500 through his crimes.
A Proceeds of Crime hearing has now ruled that Mirza can only afford to pay back £3,425.
Judge Daniel Williams said Mirza has 28 days to repay the money or face an additional three months to his sentence.

Timothy Evans, prosecuting, told the court Mirza had gone on a marriage website to target women who had money and could fund his lifestyle.

Mr Evans said: 'There are cases where there are women who targeted because they were vulnerable and naive. That is not this case.

'Mirza wanted women who worked, who were single, who had money and their own income.
Newport Crown Court heard Mirza (pictured outside court) had pocketed £8,500 through his crimes.
'He targeted women who had money available to bank roll him and his family.'

Mr Evans added that the women were 'intelligent, but eventually duped and pressurised.'
Mirza, who lives with his mother Abertillery, Gwent, denied nine charges including voyuerism, fraud, theft and blackmail but was found guilty by a jury.

The court heard he met two of the women through a website and a third, a doctor, when she treated his mother in hospital.

He continued his ruse by hanging surgical scrubs in his wardrobe and carrying a stethoscope in his car.

The conman then threatened to bring shame upon the victims and their families unless they paid him.
Judge Tom Crowther QC described Mirza's actions as 'a pitiless scheme' and said he had shown 'contempt' for the three women he targeted.

'You photographed two of the women without their knowledge - one during sex and one after. You led the third believe you had taken intimate photographs. You threatened release of photographs into the world,' the judge said.

'The fear of exposure of unguarded and private moments is a universal one. There is, however, an additional factor at play here. Each of these women was Muslim by faith and by heritage.
'Each of them knew the consequences of these films being released was devastating.'
One woman told the jury her liberal family, who do not live in the UK, would disown her and she feared for their safety if the films were made public.

Speaking after the case, PC Pat Maguire of Gwent Police said Mirza had shown no remorse for his crimes.
'Mirza made his three victims believe he was wealthy and looking for marriage,' he said.
'He created a fake profile on a dating website, posing as a doctor, to lure in two of his victims. He gained their friendship and trust and then exploited the relationships for his own personal gains.
'Mirza purposefully targeted women from a culture where honour is held in high regard and used this to strengthen his threats and make them feel more vulnerable and alone.'
