crashed whilst POB

A taxi driver, carrying two passengers, has crashed into a traffic light pole leaving it out of operation.

He and one passenger sustained slight injuries in the incident at around 7.45pm on Tuesday.

They were taken to Dundee’s Ninewells Hospital for checks.

The incident occurred on the city’s Perth Road, where it meets Hawkhill and Blackness Avenue.

Police Scotland said Dundee City Council was informed so the traffic lights could be assessed.
