Yet another example of how regulations are incompatible with European Law. I have a sneaking feeling that the turning circle regulation will go or there will be a court case to determine the outcome. Best wishes John Davies. Manchester. |

I believe that's right John. But what good sound judgments the lads at LTI have made. You have an overpriced product that fewer and fewer cab drivers want. You have competition eating into your market place. Where you have/had a monopoly, it appears to be going. So what do you do? You go on strike.
Now what sort of a union would go along with such stupidity?

They reject a 2.9% increase, they way bit fall off them I dont know why their paid at all. put a decent engine in the bloody thing and reduce the price by about £12K stop dealers from selling licenses would be a bloody good idea too |

Have it on good authority that M&O Bristol have closed the doors. When LTI are finished, the PCO regulations will follow? Then party time for Eurocabs. Captain Cab |

When LTI are finished, the PCO regulations will follow? Then party time for Eurocabs. Captain Cab The crazy thing is that some drivers actually like the TXs, so to them LTI struggling is a pain. If LTI had proper competition, then their products would be vastly improved, and cheaper. But they have p***ed off so many in the trade, I think there days could be numbered. However in my very honest opinion, I don't think Cab Direct are that much better.

Fletcher, I happen to own a TX, (well in about 3 years I will), I'll curse and moan about it, but it makes me a living. The thing is, we can whinge and moan on here till our heats content, because the people we bought them off dont give a toss. Be Lucky Captain Cab |

Mick Brown, a shop steward who has worked at LTI for 31 years, bemoaned the way workers were treated. “The quality of the vehicle has got better in recent years but the moral of the workforce has gone down,” he said. Hmmm, obviously he doesn't get to take one home at weekends then, must be part of the sleeping nightshift. |

why build taxis that nobody wants? An apt thread to bring back to life 4 years down the line? Those were the days when CC owned a real Taxi.
