what is it with Scottish taxis and pedestrians !! A pedestrian has been struck by a taxi in Dundee after it mounted the pavement. The injured pedestrian - a young man - is thought to have been walking with a group of people from a graduation ceremony at the Caird Hall. The incident took place on High Street at about 18:00. The man's injuries are believed not to be life-threatening. The driver of the taxi is thought to be uninjured. |

driver charged A 25-year-old man has been charged with careless driving after a taxi was involved in a collision with a pedestrian in Dundee city centre on Thursday evening. A Dundee University graduate was taken to hospital with minor injuries after allegedly being struck by a taxi as he walked on a pavement in Nethergate shortly after 6pm. Police revealed a man had been charged on Friday morning. 25 yr old man charged with careless driving after road traffic incident in Nethergate, Dundee yesterday evening. Five police cars and two ambulances descended on Nethergate following the incident. Police said the incident was not terrorism-related. |
