How long is a piece of string?
There are loads of variables but I guarantee that it is a lot more than you think.

50 to 70 p a mile is a realistic figure but may 80p plus for newbies with no no claims

There are no exact figures. It depends on the type of vehicle, the cost of the vehicle, the depreciation of the vehicle, the MPG, the cost of the licenses, the cost of the insurance, the cost of servicing and repairs, the type of area you work in ie % dead miles to loaded miles. The list goes on and on.

Tell you what, you tell me what my next passenger wants, a trip around the corner or a trip to Heathrow. Be nice if you could let me know if I will wait on the rank for Ten Minutes or Two Hours before they pitch up as well.

Then tell me if I will get a puncture on that job and will it be a repair or a new tyre needed.

Calculate and tell me what fuel I burn sat in the traffic jam on that job - and how much it will cost to replace (be careful fuel prices change twice a day sometimes).

Let me know what my insurance renewal will be while you are at it.

It goes on and on.

Bottom line is, you are asking a bloody foolish and completely unanswerable question.

there are over 100000 taxis and PH running in the Uk every one has a different op cost if you want to know tell us the answers to the following and we can guide you to work it out

a) Licensing district

d) are you going on a circuit, independant or getting fleeced by Uber
e) have you no claims you can transfer to a public/private hire policy
