So, how will Drivers recoup this expense as the banks will charge them to provide the service.

Just take Debit Cards.

At Manchester Airport it is now a requirement for All drivers to accept Card payments as a condition to work there.
I believe it's the same with London PCO with hackneys.
So, now it will mean an added cost which drivers will have to bear.

The simple answer is that they wont be able to recoup the charges any more. Obviously a hackney working within it's own district on the meter is fu**ed but any out of area priced job or a private hire can increase the cost of the journey to anything they agree, which could be the equivalent of the card charge. They could also then offer a discount for cash payment again equivelant to the cost of processing a card payment.

Well best they take that up with the government.

A credit card job is akin to an account job, do they ask for more money on an account job?

Not Quite the same....An Account job in my experience is where the co you whose radio you rent provide the account services and are charged a ''fee''...typically this is 10% of the fare....so a fare of £20 will result in the client paying £22....and the driver gets his £20 whilst the credit provider gets the £2.
A credit card job currently results in the CC provider charging a fee which is around 3% payable by the CC holder....The CC provider will not provide the service for free so I can see the end result being the Driver getting his fare less the CC charge....
