A man who committed eight crimes in a day including throwing a breeze block onto a car, taking a motorbike and biting a policeman has been jailed for two and a half years.

Homeless Connor Blampey, 20, also racially abused medical staff treating him for injuries sustained falling off a bike.

Blampey admitted aggravated vehicle taking of a black Vixen 125cc motorbike, assault by beating of a taxi driver, intimidating a witness, criminal damage to the taxi’s dash camera, making off without payment from a taxi, criminal damage to a silver Ford Fiesta car and assaulting a police officer on August 25.

He also admitted two counts of handling stolen goods on July 4 and burglary of a garage on July 17 or July 18, reports plymouthherald .

Francesca Whebell, for the Crown Prosecution Service, said Blampey refused to pay a £13.60 taxi fare in Whitleigh Green on August 25.

She added the driver pointed out he had been filmed on his dashcam. Miss Whebell said that Blampey knocked the camera on to the floor and slapped the man on the cheek.

She added that Blampey and others approached the home of a couple in nearby Shrewsbury Road. Miss Whebell said the defendant picked up a breeze block and walked to a child’s bedroom window.

She added that he could not reach the window and instead threw the block on to a parked Ford Fiesta. Miss Whebell said that the man in the house was a witness in a criminal case which is still ongoing.

Blampey had posted several Facebook messages where Blampey called the man a “f****** grass” adding “wait until I get my hands on you”.

She said that police called to the scene saw Blampey trying to escape on a motorbike he had taken. The court heard he swerved in and out of parked cars and rode on the pavement.

Miss Whebell said police grabbed him after a chase – but he bit an officer’s bicep, breaking the skin. Magistrates heard that Blampey had crashed on the bike, grazing his arms and legs.

I wouldn't be too heartbroken if he didn't make 21.
