A Salisbury taxi driver's been hurt after a row erupted with passengers who attacked him over the cost of their fare.
The shocking incident happened in the early hours of this morning (Friday 10 November) on Fisherton Street.
A taxi driver had gone to collect three men from Salisbury city centre when a disagreement took place about the cost of their journey. One of the men then punched the driver, knocking him to the ground outside Dominos Pizza in Fisherton Street.

The cab driver, a man in his 40s, suffered a bruised and swollen eye.

After their cowardly attack all three men ran off back towards the city centre. They are described as white, of skinny build and approximately 6 ft tall.

CCTV EVIDENCE?
At this stage there is nothing from Salisbury's brand new CCTV system to help Police trace the men responsible, although there are at least two cameras on Fisherton Street very close to where the taxi driver was attacked and punched.

TATTOOED SUSPECT:
According to Officers the man who threw the punch at the taxi driver was wearing a white t-shirt and had a tattoo on his hand. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

If only he had it in his cab, then a) the scum might have thought otherwise, or b) their pictures would have accompanied this article.
