Earlier this year the Government unveiled new rules that will mean card-charging in the UK will come to an end in January. Aberdeen City Council’s licensing committee has been asked to agree proposals to ban taxi drivers from charging customers the surcharge from January 13. |

I thought that there was a change in the law which stopped the addition of charges. |

You cannot charge for the use of a card from the middle of January.The cost has to be borne by the service provider. |
