I'm thinking about becoming a taxi driver - can anyone give me any advice on how to get started?

Punch's advice to those about to marry, "Don't". But if you must, try your local council website, put taxi licensing in their search engine, for info,
Hackney or Private Hire? Visit a couple of offices, local taxi ranks, etc. There's some information on this site. Good luck.

My advice is not to call yourself a taxi driver if you actually want to be a PH driver - you'll have many readers frothing at the mouth :wink:
