CCTV appeal after two taxi drivers were attacked at Sunderland taxi rank

Image

Two taxi drivers were allegedly attacked at a Sunderland taxi rank.

Police say one driver was taken to hospital following the incident in the early hours of Saturday, October 21.

It is said to have happened at the taxi rank at Park Lane Interchange in the city centre.

Officers are investigating and have now released a CCTV image of a man they think could help them.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said: “Officers are keen to speak to the man pictured as it’s thought he was in the area at the time and may be able to help with inquiries.

“The man, or anyone who recognises him is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 quoting reference 110 211017.”

The reason so many cctv images are so crap is the camera lenses are rarely cleaned.
