Taxi driver caught urinating in the street keeps licence after blaming medical condition

A taxi driver caught leaving his car and publicly urinating in broad daylight has been allowed to keep his licence. Three complaints were made against the unnamed driver, who blamed a medical condition.

Stockton Council has given him a written warning but allowed him to keep driving.

Minutes from a private licensing committee meeting show councillors took a “dim view” of the driver’s actions. “(He) had urinated in daylight hours and was observed exiting his licences vehicle to do so,” reads report from the October hearing, which has now been published.

Besides the complaints for urinating, the driver has previously been handed a “number of” warnings from council officers over his behaviour. However the committee noted an unspecified medical condition, confirmed by his GP, which caused him to urinate as much as six times per shift. The driver told the panel medication had reduced the number of times he now needed to urinate to between one and two.

Issuing the warning, the committee urged the driver to “strongly heed” it - otherwise another appearance could end in his taxi licence being revoked. “If (he) did continue to experience similar symptoms in the future the committee would expect (him) to take further positive measures to ensure he did not need to urinate in public,” adds the report.

Judging by the amount of 1/2 filled Bottles with Irn-Bru like contents and without Irn-Bru labels that are strewn all over our green and pleasant lands roads then he's not the only driver In Britain with a urinary issue :?
