Garage Performance Statistics


Further to PCO Notice 13/05, the garage performance statistics for the period
1 October to 31 December 2005 are attached. These relate to garages presenting 10 or more taxis to the PCO for licensing inspections.

As previously stated, the purpose of publishing this data is to encourage those involved in the presentation of taxis for licensing to prepare them to the appropriate standards prior to presentation at the PCO. This is one of a number of measures that have been put in place to encourage an improvement in the overall first time pass rate of taxis presented for licensing.

It is encouraging to note that since the introduction of these measures there has been an improvement in the overall first time pass rate with some presenters achieving a significant improvement from the previous period.

The ‘Cabs Presented’ column has been removed at the request of a number of presenters as they felt this information was too specific to their business.

The PCO will continue its efforts to work with those presenting vehicles for inspection in order to assist them in meeting the required standards.
