“We are not saying that taxi drivers in Carlisle are unsafe, it is about feeling more comfortable.”

I couldn't agree more. Image

Doesnt mean their doing well, it's just someone else thats bought a franchise.
There's more than enough work in warrington to accomodate them (we just need more laybye's built for them to park in while they check their a-z's)

I wonder if they will be starting up in Brighton, pink pound, do they carry shims? But unlicensed vehicles, unlicensed drivers, should you really be applauding, Sussex? I think it'll end in tears, or tiers, three of them.

If the only place they start up in Sussex is Brighton then I will be a happy bunny.

There operators don't care about the 1976 Act, and allow cross-border hiring to happen willy nilly.

But then as long as their plate values remain, the likes of Mr Scanner couldn't care less. [-(

Typical women, loads of chat and promise, but when it comes to the crunch, they don't come across.

It does say on the Pink Ladies website they are not taxis, but PH Licenced,
see ....http://www.pinkladiesmembers.co.uk/pink ... -taxis.php

so do they have "plates", are the vehicles tested, or is no cash changing hands a loop hole in the licencening laws

They're fully plated here in Warrington, although the way they were plated is a bit grey, the cars were bought grey and tested grey but the plates said Pink, they were sprayed later before they were used.
There's also the "knowledge" question, it's alledged they didnt have to take it because of having sat-nav fitted, but no-one will give a straight answer.
