Is anyone operating a Tesla as a Taxi? If so, how do the economics stack up? |

Thanks guys, but I am surprised. I figured someone on here would be running one. There's a firm in Amsterdam just upgraded their existing fleet of Tesla's with 167 new ones! I was looking at a used model which you can get low milers for around 50k. The finance repayments are similar to what we pay in fuel but i know it doesn't stop there. Looking at servicing costs, proven reliability, not company claims and those nasty little hidden extra's you always seem to walk into. Can anyone offer any insight into these areas? |

We are waiting for the model 3 to be available over here and then we will seriously consider one. |

Are they big enough ? be a tight squeeze with 4 passengers or have they enlarged them since I last looked at one (3 years ago) |

My mate has an electric car and he is absolutely delighted with it. It's not a Tesla, as they are well out of his price range. |

The current ones are supposed to have a range of about 300 miles so yes. Although I would not do heathrow and back without a break so presumably I could top up the leccy somewhere. |

The time I had a drive in a Tesla, "OMFG," fast wasn't the word. Shame about them using Cobalt for their lithium batteries. It's mined by children in Africa and paid as little as £1 a week. |

Fair enough I guess as they won't have any need to save the money they make as they'll never live to adulthood due to Lung complaints brought about through Cobalt Mining..
