Taxi written off after crashing into traffic light in Camberley

Pembroke Broadway in Camberley was closed for more than two hours on Thursday night (October 26) after a taxi ploughed into a traffic light.
Pictures from the scene show the taxi with the passenger's side of its bonnet caved in and a traffic light completely flattened.
The crash occurred at the crossing opposite the Travelodge.
Police officers attended the scene some time before 1.20am, closing the road while officers swept up debris from the crash.
An ambulance also attended, but it is not known if there were any injuries, or if there were any passengers in the taxi at the time of the crash. Surrey Live has requested more information from the authorities.
The road was reopened around 3.40am once the wreckage had been cleared.
The circumstances of the crash are not yet clear.
