London may get its first ultra low emission vehicle (ULEV) zone. This could well be the shape of things to come. London's Ultra Low Emission Zone comes into force in April of next year and that will send the cost of entering the capital right up for drivers using high polluting cabs, and restrictions on access to the city's streets will have a massive impact on the livelihoods of cab drivers.
