Police have revealed more details about an alleged stabbing in High Wycombe yesterday.

A 34-year-old taxi driver was "attacked by a young male", police have said - leaving him with stab wounds.

The incident took place in Herbert Road between 10.30am and 11.30am on Thursday.

The man was in his taxi, a silver Hyundai, at the time.

He was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital and is in a stable condition.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage from around the time of the alleged stabbing.

Three 16-year-old boys from High Wycombe were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and they have all been released on conditional police bail until March 19.

Investigating officer Detective Constable James Wood, of Force CID at High Wycombe, said: “This incident occurred in the middle of the morning near to the Micklefield Library.

“I am appealing for anybody who believes that they witnessed this incident to contact police.

“I am also appealing to anybody who may have dash-cam footage at around the time of the incident to get in touch.

“This was a nasty attack, and the victim has required hospital treatment, although thankfully his injuries are not life-threatening.”
