A police foot chase erupted in Bath today (June 3) after an alleged attempted armed robbery.
Officers chased down a man believed to be armed with a knife in the city.
The man is thought to have tried to steal a taxi, British Transport Police say.
A tweet from British Transport Police Specials reads: "Following a foot chase in Bath by sergeant James and with the assistance of ASP Bath, a male who was believed to be armed with a knife has been arrested on suspicion of armed robbery after he attempted to steal a taxi from the station."
It is currently unclear whether the incident occurred outside the Bath Spa train station or the bus station, both on Dorchester Street in Bath.
The tweet ended by saying the man was in custody.
