Not much news around this morning, but noticed this unusual charge (highlighted in bold) in a 'round up' of cases at Wycombe Magistrates' Court: https://www.bucksfreepress.co.uk/news/1 ... -39-court/ Bucks Free Press wrote: Azhar Bashir, 36, of Healey Avenue, High Wycombe. Acted as the driver of a Hackney carriage without having a licence to ply for hire in that place. Fined £207. Costs £1,051. Acted as the driver of a Hackney carriage without having a licence to ply for hire in that place. Fined £207. Being the driver of a public Hackney carriage without having the number of persons to be carried exhibited on the vehicle. Fined £103. I'm assuming it was a genuine HC, but the first two charges relate to plying for hire out-of-area. |

Are there any areas that don't put number of people licensed for on the plate ? |
