Not much to see here - in fact if I'd know the article was so short I wouldn't have bothered.

But suspect chances of surveyors finding any unmet demand for HCs anywhere will be an increasingly rare occurrence.

No change needed for taxi numbers in Dumbarton and the Vale

THERE is no need to increase the number of taxis in West Dunbartonshire, a new council report has said.

A paper due before the licensing committee next month shows an audit of the demand for hire cars in the area.

Currently, taxi zones in West Dunbartonshire have been split in half, one for Dumbarton and the Vale and another for Clydebank.

A maximum of 177 cars are allowed to operate in the Dumbarton zone, while 159 can be registered in the Clydebank zone.

The report claims there is no need to change these limits and no proof of unmet demand in West Dunbartonshire area.

I would say the biggest fan of restricted areas is Uber.

Has helped them get established in many many cities.
