A private hire driver has been successfully prosecuted after being caught twice in the one night illegally picking up passengers - known as ‘blagging - in Milton Keynes.

MK Magistrates heard the case on 4 October which followed a joint enforcement operation carried out by Milton Keynes and South Northamptonshire Councils in March 2019...

I like the idea of joint enforcement, but surely the law should be changed so that they are not required.

Let any licensing official check any licensed vehicle in their area no matter where that vehicle is licensed.
