Guardian reporting the same: https://www.theguardian.com/technology/ ... london-tfl Seems the primary cause is drivers not insured or licenced. I've no idea how their sign up process works, but some quick googling indicates that they have to provide proof of insurance and a TFL licence in order to get approved. Are the drivers providing false documentation? |

Are the drivers providing false documentation? I think drivers are logging on that aren’t licensed. Also their insurance is not like ours. They can have short on and off insurance which allows family to drive the vehicle. |

One of the comments in the Indy report says abou drivers becoming unemployed, but they are not employed by Poober in the first place. Doh.. As for insurance to let their families drive ph cars, that's illegal anyway unless they're licenced ph drivers. |

As a bit of an aside, one of the bus drivers I worked with a couple of years ago said he was leaving the company to drive for Uber. He was on pretty good money where he was but convinced us he would be better off blah blah... The truthe emerged when his case was announced in the press when it was reported that he'd been jailed for 5 years for a multi-million ££ fraud involing selling properties that weren't his. so much for driving for uber. |
