Are you thinking what I'm thinking? (And, no, it's nothing to do with the usual misuse of the word 'taxi'.) Taxi driver robbed of vehicle after pick up https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/loca ... r-21146682 The 48 year old collected the trio from Glasgow City Centre before taking them to Fulton Drive, Houston where he was robbed of the six-seater people carrier at around 3.40am this morning A taxi driver has been left badly shaken after three men he picked up robbed him of his vehicle. The 48 year old collected the trio from Glasgow City Centre before taking them to Fulton Drive, Houston where he was robbed of the six-seater people carrier at around 3.40am this morning. The man, who was working as a private hire driver, sustained minor injuries in the incident. Detective sergeant Jonathan MacKinnon described the theft as opportunistic. He told the Express: "There are three men who we believe are responsible. The taxi driver picked the men up from a location at Glasgow City Centre. "I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of the theft and saw anything suspicious to either contact myself at Paisley Police Office or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained." Police can also be contacted on 101. |

Quote: The 48 year old collected the trio from Glasgow City Centre before taking them to Fulton Drive, Houston... Incidentally, it's not Houston, Texas, it's a small town of around 6,000 people, 15 miles or so from central Glasgow. |

Houston we have a problem.............................. I think the one in Texas may have been named after the one in Scotlandshire on a more serious note it has crossed my mind that maybe this was a set up to deal with a persistent pirate hire driver. I'm sure the vehicle will turn up either burnt out or on the bottom of the Clyde or even loch Lomond |
