It doesn't actually say one way or the other, but I'm assuming the driver's identity is known. There's no description of the car/driver, and no specific appeal in that regard, so looks like they know who he is. Between 2.20am and 2.30am on Saturday, March 14, the victim was in a taxi on the A629 Keighley Road, between the junction of Moor Lane and Beechwood Road. The woman in her 30s and her partner were involved in an argument with the driver and the victim was assaulted after getting out of the taxi. She was knocked unconscious and had to be taken to hospital for treatment of her injuries. West Yorkshire Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed or saw the aftermath of the assault or who came to the victim's aid. Anyone who has any information is asked to come forward and contact police on 101 quoting crime reference 13200133253. |
