Zero detail about the fee reduction other than that it's *up to* 32%. Which means it could be a lot less.

So touch of the PR spin about it, maybe like Uber and their support for drivers affected by the coronavirus. Maybe the PR giveaway is that they use the term 'partner drivers' :?

A POPULAR city taxi firm has reduced its drivers' subscription fees by up to 32 percent to help them cope financially during the coronavirus pandemic.

Network Private Hire, who work across the entire city and beyond, said the move was made to assist their drivers and families during these unprecedented times.

A statement from the firm said: "The health and safety of our drivers and customers is our top priority.

"We ask that you download the app and pay by card wherever possible.

"We are diligently following guidance and best practices from the NHS and UK government, amongst others.

"Our focus is to ensure partner drivers can provide a first-class service to our customer base into the headwind."

Network Private Hire added: "We are the first to take such measure within our industry which will support drivers and protect our internal staff."

The firm also thanked its staff, drivers, and customers during this period.

They added: "Most of all thank you to the NHS doctors, nurses, police and fire departments who keep our country moving in these difficult times.

"Thank you, be kind and let’s get through this together."

The news comes after we revealed that bus and train services are to be cut next week to cope with reduced demand and manage staff shortages.

Third off the office rent is a start.

But it's work drivers need.
