Avoid using a taxi after arriving at airport says Guernsey States
People arriving at Guernsey Airport are being asked not to use a taxi if possible to help limit the spread of coronavirus.
Passengers should only be arriving to and leaving the island on essential journeys.
The States are asking people to use their own vehicles, to go to an onward destination after arriving at the airport. This is so people can then begin their mandatory 14-day self isolation period.
If people are unable to use their own vehicle, the States say friends or family can collect them, but social distancing must be observed and the vehicle must be cleaned afterwards.
The States say the taxis from the airport should only be used if there is no other alternative.
