We have been asked to supply the numbers of Pupils each of our vehicles can carry based on a 1 metre spacing.
Not so easy to answer as I thought, I could measure it as a Metre from Pupil nose to pupil nose, or a Metre from the middle of Headrest to Headrest.
I could Measure it as a metre from the Pupils nose to Back of the head of the Child in front....then that would mean nothing as the knees of the pupil sitting behind would only be a foot away from the backside of the Pupil in front of them.
And to compound that if two Pupils stretch out their hands towards each other it would virtually mean that I couldnt put them with 3 meters of each other to allow them to do so.
Any of you guys had to supply this kind of information and how do you work it out?
At the moment we have been told that pupils can't sit in the front and only one pupil on each row of other seats unless they are from the same household. In a 4 passenger vehicle the pupil is to sit diagonally opposite the driver and in a 6 passenger vehicle the pupil in the row behind the driver sits diagonally opposite the driver and the pupil on the 3rd row sits diagonally across from the pupil in the row in front of them. All a bit academic here now though as we broke up for the summer holidays yesterday.
