Teenager to appear in court accused of robbing taxi driver in Plymouth Jack Pester-Johns charged with robbing taxi driver after an incident in the Ford area of Plymouth A teenager is set to appear at court today charged with robbing a taxi driver in Plymouth. Jack Pester-Johns, aged 19, was arrested on Tuesday evening at his home in Lancaster Gardens, Whitleigh, following an incident in Alexandra Road, Ford which saw a taxi driver threatened and robbed. Pester-Johns is alleged to have then got into another taxi and attempted to steal money from the centre console. Officers are understood to have identified Pester-Johns from the first taxi’s dashcam footage and attended his home address where he was arrested. Pester-Johns was taken to Charles Cross police station custody suite where he was interviewed and later charged with robbery of the taxi driver. He was also charged with attempted theft from a person and breach of bail. Pester-Johns was remanded into custody and is to appear at Exeter Magistrates Court this morning via video link to face all three charges. A second man, Sam Clark, aged 36 and from Kings Tamerton, Plymouth, was charged with attempt robbery, possessing criminal property and possession of a controlled drug of Class A, namely heroin. He has been bailed to appear before Plymouth Magistrates Court on August 13. |
