\:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ I am so glad that most of our drivers and staff are employees that will be coming back from furlough and they earn over £520 per month. At a £1,000 for each it could be a happy new year. \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

I don't get it why would Primark REFUSE the £30 million; they must have taken quite a hit from the pandemic, or are there strings attached which they are wary of ?

Because there are some decent firms out there that aren't desperate for tax payers money.

Same as Ikea. They didn't take any furlong money, but still paid their staff.

Barrett Homes have also said they will repay the government the money from their furlough scheme.

Of course these companies could be thinking, “ask not what my country can do for me, what can I do for my country”

In Ikeas case that would be Sweden or possibly Holland.

I didn't think they would be entitled to any due to them being Swedish? Virgin and British Airways didn't get any due to them being owned 70% by overseas companies.

What I should have said is they didn't take any money on behalf of their staff, yet still paid their staff despite having been told to close by the gov.
