I don't get it why would Primark REFUSE the £30 million; they must have taken quite a hit from the pandemic, or are there strings attached which they are wary of ?

Same as Ikea. They didn't take any furlong money, but still paid their staff.

I didn't think they would be entitled to any due to them being Swedish? Virgin and British Airways didn't get any due to them being owned 70% by overseas companies.

Because there are some decent firms out there that aren't desperate for tax payers money. Same as Ikea. They didn't take any furlong money, but still paid their staff.

What I should have said is they didn't take any money on behalf of their staff, yet still paid their staff despite having been told to close by the gov.
