The article doesn't say actually he was outside the PH office, but the photo suggests that's where he was.

And it's not actually Glasgow, but close enough for most readers on here.

The boys, aged 14 and 15, stopped the driver who was sitting in his car before they allegedly robbed him of his motor and sped off in Cambuslang.

Two teenagers have been charged after a taxi driver was allegedly jumped and his car stolen near Glasgow.

The boys, aged 14 and 15, stopped the driver who is believed to have been sitting in his car before they allegedly robbed him of his motor and sped off on New Road in Cambuslang last night at around 9.50pm.

Officers attended and the car was later found dumped almost three miles away on Station Road in Blantyre.

The youths were traced by police nearby in Bothwell before they were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

The pair are due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court tomorrow.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.50pm on Saturday, 20 March, police received a report of a taxi driver being robbed of his car in New Road, Cambuslang.

"Officers attended and the car was found abandoned in Station Road, Blantyre.

"Two male youths, aged 14 and 15, were subsequently traced nearby in the Bothwell area.

"They were arrested and charged in connection with the incident and are due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 22 March.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."

maybe the photo was a stock image used ?

anyway isn't Cambuslang on the river Clyde ? if so I'm sure Glasgow will claim it as one of their suburbs :lol:

Could be, although it's a Google streetview image, so I was kind of guessing it might show the location, but couldn't be bothered looking it up to see if the PH office is actually on the street named in the article.

But certainly a daft image to use if the incident didn't actually happen there, and I doubt if Z Cars best pleased that their office is in the photo if it happened elsewhere.

It's in South Lanarkshire rather than the Glasgow City Council area, but it's Greater Glasgow, so that's good enough for me 8)

Have now added the credit and caption used on the website to the photo above, which also gives the impression that the incident happened outside the 'taxi' office, but obviously it's not conclusive either way. But the article and photo caption certainly gives that impression, although the article itself doesn't explicitly say that.
