Teen thought Glasgow taxi driver was going to kidnap her before she was allegedly forced to perform a sex act on him https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/news/191 ... m-sex-act/ A TEENAGE girl told a jury that she thought she was going to be kidnapped by a taxi driver before allegedly being forced to perform a sex act on him. The girl, then 17, claimed Adil Taj, 42, attacked her during a journey from Glasgow city centre on September 6 2019. She said she was scared when Taj allegedly asked to kiss her, stopped the car and jumped in the back seat. A 21-year-old woman further accuses Taj of slapping her bum in his flat in the city’s Springburn also in September 2019. He denies two charges of sexual assault at a trial at Glasgow Sheriff Court. The first girl, now 19, said in evidence that Taj told her he could take her home in his taxi after she missed her train from Glasgow Central at midnight. She said: “He looked at the mirror in the front of the car and said that I was a pretty girl. “He asked me to kiss him, I was scared, I thought he was going to kidnap me. “He stopped the car and came into the back and unzipped his trousers.” The girl then stated Taj grabbed her hand and made her perform a sex act on him before driving her home. She said: “I was crying in my room…I went to the police station the next day.” Kevin Corr, defending, was asked her why she didn't leave the taxi. She said: "I didn't know what to do and didn't know where I was, he could have run after me. The court also heard from the second woman who claimed she rented a room from Taj on AirBnB when she was 19 as it was the cheapest in the city. She said: “I told him I was stressed and my hands were hurting as I was working as a waitress in a restaurant. “He took my hands and massaged them and I thought it was really awkward. “I took my hand away…I told him I was going back to bed and he said he wish he could kiss me - I was shocked. “I told him I had a boyfriend and I wasn’t interested in old men.” Prosecutor Chris Farrell asked how it made her feel and she replied: “That old men are trash.” The woman said she kept looking at her bank balance online to see if she could afford to move to another AirBnB She claimed she was called into the kitchen by Taj the next night while she wore her pyjamas. The woman said: “When I turned my back to go to my room, he slapped me on my bum. “I turned back and told him he was a perv and he was an old man, I called him an a***hole and f*** you.” Mr Corr suggested the reason the woman made the complaint about Taj was because he complained to AirBnB about her alleging she had broken his washing machine and was smoking cannabis. The woman replied: “I disagree.” The trial continues before Sheriff Joan Kerr. |

Taxi driver who forced teen who thought she was being kidnapped to perform a sex act convicted A TAXI driver that forced a teenager who thought she was being kidnapped to perform a sex act on him in his cab was convicted on Friday. Adil Taj, 42, pounced on the girl, then 17, on a journey from Glasgow city centre on September 6 2019. She said she was scared when Taj asked to kiss her, stopped the car and jumped in the back seat. Taj also slapped a 21-year-old foreign student on the bum after she rented a room from him at his flat in the city's Springburn also in September 2019. Taj was found guilty by a jury to two charges of sexual assault after a trial at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
