Happened in Warrington, but looks like a Manchester City Council sticker on the bonnet :?

Reads like PHD was blameless, but just happened to get caught up in the police chase of the Jaguar.

Also reads like the PHD not too seriously injured, but it's not entirely clear from the article :-|

Another interesting feature about the article above is that it totally manages to avoid the t-word =D>

This updated one below is more conventional in that regard. But confirms driver just suffered minor injuries.

And also confirms that the Jaguar was involved in a police chase.

A CAR crashed into a taxi and a wall after a police chase last night.

Officers attempted to pull the red Jaguar over near to Warrington Hospital shortly before 8pm last night, Tuesday, but the vehicle failed to stop and made off in the direction of Froghall Lane.

Following a short pursuit, the car crashed into a silver Toyota Prius and the garden wall of a house at the junction of Bewsey Road, Lovely Lane, Folly Lane and Lodge Lane in Bewsey.

The 47-year-old driver fled on foot but was swiftly detained and arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving without a licence, driving without insurance and driving without an MOT.

Meanwhile, the taxi driver – a 32-year-old man from Manchester – suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “At 7.55pm on Tuesday, April 20, officers attempted to stop a red Jaguar near to Warrington Hospital.

“The driver of the car failed to comply and made off in the direction of Froghall Lane “Following a short pursuit, the vehicle came to a stop after colliding with a silver Toyota Prius and a garden wall.

“The driver of the car then fled the vehicle on foot, but was located a short time later.

“A 47-year-old man from Warrington was subsequently arrested on suspicion of failing to stop for police, dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving without a licence and driving without a valid MOT.

Warrington is between Manchester & Liverpool so cars owner might just reside there.

Very unfortunate and if Jaguar stolen might be losing their no claims
