this sounds like shades of the M1 crash a few years back https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-58312144 Three people have died in a collision involving multiple vehicles on the M25. Essex Police said the incident involved a lorry, a minibus and a car between the junctions for Waltham Abbey and the M11 at about 18:15 BST on Monday. A fourth person is in hospital with life-threatening injuries. Two people have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and serious injury by dangerous driving. The M25 remains closed anti-clockwise between junctions 26 and 27. details are sketchy but two arrested is unusual don't know if the minibus involved was a licensed vehicle but suspect it may have been |

The minibus/driver will get the blame, they always seem to. Especially if he is one of the dead.

My guess is the minibus got sandwiched between a car brake checking him and a lorry tailgating but no details released not likely to until it's been to court having now looked at some photos online it looks like a ford tourneo which had it's side ripped off but the mondeo looks relatively undamaged and the drivers position looks not to mangled so I think all the dead and injured were passengers |

Lorry driver jailed for 3 years https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx82499wdelo A lorry driver who killed four people after he crashed into the back of a minibus on the M25 has been jailed for three years. The victims were returning from a day trip from a homeless hostel when the "tragic accident" happened near Waltham Abbey, Essex, on 23 August 2021. Three people - aged between 31 and 60 - died at the scene while a fourth died later from her injuries. Ethan Burdett, from Ipswich, pleaded guilty to four offences of causing death by careless driving in April. During sentencing at Chelmsford Crown Court on Thursday, Burdett was also disqualified from driving for three years. The 67-year-old had been on his way to South Mimms service station, in Hertfordshire, at the time of the crash, having set off from Ipswich. He failed to react quickly enough to the minibus braking in front of him and crashed into it, forcing the vehicle into the back of another car, the court heard. there's loads more but the essential info is here the Lorry driver not the minibus driver is jailed |

One wonders why it's taken 3 years to get this case to court. |
