I'm just guessing it's a PH, because couldn't fit 'cab' in the thread title :?

Sounds very odd, though, and what were five officers doing in one patrol car? :-k

But this is typical of a very short official press release that's made to sound a whole lot more by news outlets like the Daily Mail and Evening Standard. But if you look at their news articles it looks like there's a lot more information, but other than the fact that the road was closed for three hours and has since reopened, they don't really seem to do anything more than rehash the official statement below.

To be fair, they both correct Kent Police's misspelling 'Toyoya', but both then quote from the press release below *with* the misspelling

Five police officers injured during collision in Dartford

https://www.kent.police.uk/news/kent/la ... -dartford/

Witnesses are being urged to come forward after five police officers were injured during a collision in Dartford.

The incident, which involved a Kent Police patrol car and a white Toyoya Prius taxi, happened in Home Gardens at around 3.20am on Sunday 12 September 2021.

All five officers were taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries of varying severity, none of which are believed to be life-threatening. No serious injuries were sustained by anyone who was travelling in the taxi.

Can you help?

Enquiries are being carried out by officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, who would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dashcam or CCTV footage.

Please call the team on 01622 798538 quoting reference DS/94/21 or email sciu.td@kent.police.uk.

Some photos from the KentLive website, but they certainly don't shed any light on what may have happened.

And if there are plates and other PHV markings on the Prius, they certainly aren't visible in the photos :?

No Injuries in the Taxi yet 5 injuries in the Patrol car, the Force Compo experts will be on stand by.

For what it's worth, seen claims on social media that it's a TfL-plated Uber. Which would certainly be consistent with the type of car, and with what we know about Uber operating in that neck of the woods.

And that would also be consistent with the lack of plate and obvious markings - I think TfL PHVs only have a licence disc in the rear window and no plate?

The sticker visible in the crashed car's rear window looks similar to those below:

TFL PH don't have plates but they do have a sticker in the window

there appears to be a lot of debris which suggests one vehicle clipped the front of the other at speed as opposed to a full on collision and although not clear in the photos it looks like one was pulling out of a junction

Can someone see a different number plate than me?

I see LO66 DYJ (possibly DVJ).

Anyway neither numbers appear on the TFL licensing database.

https://tph.tfl.gov.uk/TfL/lg2/TPHLicen ... e?menuId=5

And I'm told ( ) on askmid LO66 DYJ comes back as a Nissan. :-k

But I'm told LO66 DVJ comes back as a Prius.

Wonder why it's not on the TfL database. :-k

Eventually found LO66 DVJ on the TfL database ](*,)

Trick is to close the gap in the middle, ie search for LO66DVJ

You'd think the database might tell you the correct format to input, particularly if a gap is left and it throws up 'not found', but that might be too sensible :?

And the official UK Government MoT database shows it as a Prius and with 188,000 miles on clock, so certainly consistent with it being a PHV.

The MoT database also shows the car's colour, which can be useful.

And even if the registration number is entered with the gap, the software will just ignore the gap and show the number anyway, even though it appears with the gap closed =D>
