Taxi catches fire in Eastbourne and blocks Memorial Roundabout ![]() A vehicle fire has led to a road being blocked in Eastbourne. A picture from the scene shows a taxi as it erupted into flames near Memorial Roundabout. East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called to Bolton Road at 8.22am this morning (October 25). A spokesperson said: "Firefighters from Eastbourne attended and used two Breathing Apparatus and one Hose Reel Jet to extinguish the fire. I thought the photo looked a bit odd as well, almost as if the flames had been photoshopped on rather than genuine. But indeed they do look as if they're in the background rather than coming from the white TX. But I suspect it's genuine enough, and just looks a bit odd. Suspect it's taken from a good distance and is a poor quality photo using digital zoom, and/or has been digitally enhanced in some way, or whatever, which has just made it look a bit odd

Clearer photo here from the Eastbourne Herald's website ![]() Flames on there look a bit odd as well, but it looks like a still from a brief video which is on the Herald's website. Flames also look a tad artificial on the video, and blink and you'll miss it: https://www.eastbourneherald.co.uk/news ... ne-3431657 |
