To be fair, the description wasn't 'white-bearded men', but was still unclear.
Maybe it would have been clearer with an added comma: 'white, bearded men'
(And for anyone who thinks I'm being over-pedantic, please note that some are constantly complaining about journalists while not even bothering with the very basics like capital letters and full stops
