Interesting that Surrey Police uses a capital for the word White, and also for Black. I'm not keen on over-capitalizing in this way (eg prefer taxi to Taxi), but problem is this particular issue is loaded with political baggage etc.
So for those who think I'm being over-pedantic, some think Black should use a capital (in fact *must* use a capital), but not white.
In fact they might regard White as a 'microaggression', or even racial hate incident, or similar

And every major newspaper, universities etc, have their own 'style' guide regarding stuff like this. Not sure if Surrey Police have a policy as regards that sort of stuff, though, or whether it's actually the author's own particularly preference
