Doubt if cables and the like stretched across the road are particularly unusual, but being hit by a vacuum cleaner as a result is probably quite rare Taxi damaged after cable tied between lamp posts in Bury St Edmunds https://www.suffolklive.com/news/taxi-d ... ed-6379029 The incident happened on Saturday, December 18 A taxi has been damaged in a bizarre incident in Bury St Edmunds. At 3am on Saturday, December 18, a taxi travelling along Out Westgate in the town was struck by a vacuum cleaner. Officers say that the vacuum cleaner power cable had been wrapped around a lamppost and then spread across the road. The cable then got caught in a passing taxi, which caused the vacuum to be pulled out into the road and strike the vehicle, denting and scratching it. Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area prior to the incident. Anyone driving in Out Westgate in the early hours of Saturday morning with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle is asked to review the footage. Anyone with information about this offence is asked to contact the Bury St Edmunds Neighbourhood Response Team, quoting reference 71638/21. |

Weirdest accident I was ever involved in was driving a double decker bus, when I collided with a refrigerator that was trying to overtake me on the near side. |
