You would have thought it wouldn't be too difficult to find this driver, but of course if it was as easy as it looks then TVP wouldn't be issuing an appeal in the first place


Appeal for witnesses to assault – Milton Keynes

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to an assault in Milton Keynes.

At around 2.30pm on Thursday (24/2), two taxi drivers were involved in an altercation at the taxi rank at Milton Keynes Central train station.

Other people intervened and separated them but one of the drivers, a man in his seventies, suffered several cuts to his face.

The offender is described as an Asian man, possibly of Pakistani origin, aged around 45, about 5ft 9ins tall, and of stocky build.

He also had short, black hair, a full, black beard and moustache and was wearing a dark-coloured raincoat. His taxi was a black Volkswagen Passat.

PC Michael Edmonds, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who saw this incident, or who has any information which could help our investigation, to get in touch.

“If you have any details which you think could be useful, please call us on 101, quoting reference number 43220084463.

“Alternatively, for 100% anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

Think they use black HC saloons in MK, but even at that you'd think a VW Passat and the driver's description would mean other drivers could easily identify him.

Of course, I'm assuming it's a local HC, and both were ranking at the station, but either the (alleged) perpetrator or the victim's 'taxi' could be PH, an out-of-towner, or whatever.

And there's possibly one big reason other drivers won't identify him

And, I mean, victim in his 70s, alleged perp is stocky guy, c. 45-year-old

I suspect they know who the individual is, the request is more for witnesses to the events.

In particular independent witnesses.
