Bristol taxi driver injured in St Pauls after beeping horn at couple

Image

Police want to speak with the man pictured above as part of their enquiries into the assault of a taxi driver.

A taxi driver reported his taxi was damaged and he had suffered a cut to the head in an altercation after he sounded his horn at a couple crossing the road.

The incident happened on Dean Street, St Pauls, between 10.30pm and 11pm on Monday, December 13 last year.

Avon and Somerset Police say the man in the picture was in the area at the time. He's described as a white man in his late 30s, slim, with brown receding hair and wearing a grey jumper and jeans.

Officers ask that he, or anyone who can help to trace him or any witnesses to the incident, gets in touch by calling 101, giving the reference number 5221292607.

Alternatively ring the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111.

No excuse for what the thug did to the motor and the driver, but........

Don't beep your horn at people who are clearly out on the pi**.

Rarely does it end well, and never do they thank you for it.

Well a fit and proper person doesn't break the law.

But if drivers want to have rows with pi** heads, then more fool them.

If you've got time to beep, you've got time to apply your brakes. Old adage told to me when I was learning to drive over 50 years ago.
