Only bothered with this because of the photo, but turns out it's about twice the width of the forum, so have only included a link to the photo (at the bottom). Your browser should show it better than it would display on here :?

Buses diverted after taxi left on roundabout

https://www.brightonandhovenews.org/202 ... oundabout/

Buses are diverted this morning after a broken down taxi was left on a roundabout overnight.

The taxi, which has police tape wrapped round it, is believed to have been on the roundabout on Goldstone Crescent in Hove since 6.30pm yesterday evening.

Residents say three attempts to move the taxi, which had a collapsed front wheel, with a recovery truck failed.

Brighton and Hove Buses said buses on the 27B route have been diverted.

Another recovery truck and police are reportedly on the scene now.

front wheels don't collapse without warning so either he was driving with a very noisy cv joint or heavily whacked something breaking the suspension either way questions maybe need to be asked ?

What bad luck, I’ve had Coil springs on the front struts on my Peugeot 406 snap, once whilst going over a speed bump at low speed, which rendered the vehicle immobile and had to be recovered and the other side also snapping whilst on my drive a few hours after being parked up, heard the load bang but didn’t realise it was the spring until the next morning.

'Taxis' stuck on roundabouts are like buses - wait ages for one, and two come along at once

This one's in Middlesbrough, though, and it's a PHV, not HC. It even clearly says 'PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLE' on the door signage :-o

And looks like a collision rather than a mechanical failure...

Looks a bit more dramatic than the B&H one, though, but there's no photos and only a video on the Gazette's website, therefore...

Not sure why they needed a video for what's really a static scene, but it does show the towtruck pulling up :-o

And it means they can loop the video twice before it goes onto something totally different and you can't go back to it =D>
