They have their rules, it appears you breached one.

Not much you can do about it, other than leave.

If you pay a radio rent for the office to provide you with work it could be breach of contract (I presume you're still going to get charged a full weeks rent ?) and you could sue for loss of earnings for yourself and the driver. There's also the whole issue of being self-employed - you pay them to give you work, in effect you are engaging someone elses services, you're not paying them to tell YOU what to do - you're paying to tell THEM what to do ie provide you with work.

Sadly its become accepted that you do as the office says and if you don't like it leave. Until someone has the bottle and cash to challenge it in court, hopefully win and set a precedent, the situation will never change. I can't think of any other industry where you pay fees upfront for a service only to be told you can't have the service or part of it at the whim of the person you're paying, and still pay the full price.

Are you hackney or private hire? What exactly do you mean by "disabled"?

An experienced driver would have called the office and said that the customer now requires a second cab.

Strangely enough under the same name going to the same destination. :-$

Considering the office will probably have GPS in the car, they would know the car was no where near the address they gave him, And for that reason i don't think the experienced drivers plan would have worked. :D

What do you mean by "invalidated"? I don't understand this.

Took his vehicle off the despatch system, presumably.

Unless 'disabled' means that they broke his legs for doing a flyer

Can't see it's such a big deal if he's a hackney, since he'll still be able to work the streets, and it's only until tomorrow

Sin binned grandad. We get it all the time with the asian drivers, all day you hear the operators shouting their numbers asking them where they are and why haven't they picked up yet.
