Yes really, the whole of wales will become a 20mph zone. Well at least the urban areas.

At a cost of £64 million pounds, (to change road signs, one presumes) from September 2023, all urban areas will become 20mph zones. The part time undertaker, Mark Drakeford, (LABOUR) thinks this will reduce accidents injuries and deaths on the roads of Wales, even though there is evidence to prove otherwise. (Department of transport, “ no significant change in casualty rates”)

What a joy it will be for taxi drivers in Cardiff and Swansea, et al, to have to be tootling along at no more than 20 mph, reducing their earnings yet again?

How long before they demand a speed limit of four mph, with a man holding a red flag, walking in front of every car?

Who the flip votes for these flipping idiots?

Don’t much care if it does. I’m retired now, and drive at 20 mph. Just to irritate the living carp out of all those that are still working…

We have experimental 20 zones across the Scottish borders at present and even those at risk groups whom they used as pretence to intoduce them dont like them....besides 90% of Drivers just ignore them completely, after almost 2 years there has been no discernible reduction in accident numbers or in injury severity yet their instigators still try and pretend otherwise.

A scheme dreamt up by car hating Zealots.
