Not sure if there's any trade or rank queueing angle to this at all, or whether it even happened at a rank. In fact wouldn't have bothered with it at all apart from yesterday's stuff about the CCTV images on Tyneside. Here the images could be very clear, but the camera angles and trees are slightly problematic. Certainly better quality than the Tyneside image though, and if they're normally part of the same group then surely it won't be long till there's a knock on the door Man waiting for a taxi in town battered by thugs https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/li ... d-25416836 Victim went to hospital with several injuries and cuts to his face after the assault in Liverpool city centre ![]() Image: Merseyside Police/Liverpool Echo A man was taken to hospital after he was hit in the head with a metal cannister while waiting for a taxi. Merseyside Police has launched an investigation after a man in his 20s was assaulted by two men while waiting for a taxi. Police received reports that a man in his 20s was hit in the face with a metal cannister at around 4.30am on Sunday, October 9. The victim was assaulted by the two men on Skelhorne Street on the junction with Bolton Avenue. He went to hospital with several injuries and cuts to his face. Officers have carried out an investigation in the area and analysed CCTV footage to identify the two men responsible. Detectives working on the case have now issued images of two men they believe could assist with their enquiries. Detective Inspector Neil Dillon said: "This was a nasty unprovoked attack that has left a man with significant bruising and injuries to his face. We think the men and the woman who is also pictured with them may have vital information to help our enquiries so if you know them, please come forward. "This incident happened at the weekend in a busy part of Liverpool near Lime Street Station where people who were leaving the city would have seen the attack. If you recognise these people, or these images remind you of the attack that happened at around 4.30am on Sunday 9 October on Skelhorne Street please contact police.” You can pass on any information via DM @MerPolCC, ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 with reference 22000746794. ![]() Image: Merseyside Police/Liverpool Echo |
