Wonder what happened here? Seems an odd time for this kind of thing - just before midday on Sunday, when I'm still in church [-o< O:) :---)

And one of those articles that reads like it's totally repeating itself :?

A Bolt driver, 40, has been temporarily suspended from his job after the Met Police arrested him on suspicion of false imprisonment, as he allegedly tried to kidnap a female passenger in north London

A Bolt mini-cab driver has been arrested after allegedly trying to kidnap a female passenger, the Mirror can reveal.

A Met Police spokesperson said officers arrested a 40-year-old man on suspicion of false imprisonment following the incident in London.

Bolt has also confirmed it has temporarily suspended the driver while it investigates the allegations.

The victim claimed to have asked to be taken to an address in Southall, West London, but was instead driven to Sunny Crescent, Stonebridge Park, in North West London.

Police said it received reports that a woman had been falsely imprisoned by a mini-cab driver at 11.34am on Sunday, October 23.

Three days later, the unnamed driver was arrested and subsequently bailed while inquiries continued.

Bolt said it was currently speaking to the driver and passenger, as well as liaising with relevant authorities "around the information we have on the journey".

The spokesperson added that a temporary suspension is "typical with all allegations of this serious nature".

The force said: "Police were called at 11.34hrs on Sunday, 23 October to reports that a woman had been falsely imprisoned by a mini-cab driver.

"The victim had asked to be taken to an address in Southall, but instead was driven to Sunny Crescent, NW10.

"A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment on Wednesday, 26 October.

"He was taken to a north London police station and was subsequently bailed to return on a date in late November. Enquiries continue."

The Bolt spokesperson said: “We have temporarily suspended the driver to allow time for a detailed investigation to continue.

"This is typical with all allegations of this serious nature and, as part of this, we are speaking further with the driver and passenger, and liaising with the relevant authorities around the information we have on the journey.

"We cannot comment further whilst the investigation is ongoing.”

You can't get Southall and Stonebridge park mixed up can you ? very different areas and not even geographically close in London terms

But Bolt is an app booking.

So the driver would only be following the job details imputed by the customer.

Or he was kidnapping her.

Quite easy to investigate IMO.
