Recall the daftie who liked showing off his 'spectacular decommissioned weapons' and made 'sexual remarks' to a female driver? Well this one's worse, and is also from Leven - population 9,000 If I'd been told there are no women drivers at all working Leven (particularly at night) then I certainly wouldn't be surprised, so it's not inconceivable that it's the same driver... Certainly can't be many. And reads like it was a rank hire as well, because he was accused of deliberately 'choosing' her (And, for what it's worth, don't normally include stock/generic photos of rooflights etc, but that's a genuine Fife photo, because that's a Fife window plate.) But another one to tell the occasional passenger about who doesn't believe that drivers are exempt from wearing seatbelts Fife sex attacker used seatbelt to pin taxi driver before terrifying ordeal Photo of perp outside court - a tad big for the forum: https://wpcluster.dctdigital.com/wp-con ... 40x564.jpg Image: DC Thomson A Leven man used a a taxi driver’s own seatbelt to trap her, before sexually assaulting her. Graham Hay pinned the female driver to her seat by pulling on her belt and then leaned over from the back seat to stick his hand up her skirt. After being taken from Leven to his partner’s home in Dysart, Hay pounced from the back seat after paying the driver, trying to lick and kiss her while she was restrained. After providing the “inconceivable” explanation the driver had actually tried to kiss him while she was stuck in her seatbelt, he was convicted of the sexual assault. Hay was placed on the Sex Offenders Register and will be sentenced next month. ‘Giggly’ passenger Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court heard, on July 26 last year, Hay jumped into the back of a taxi in Leven at around 10.15pm after having “two or three pints”. He asked the driver, who cannot be named for legal reasons, to take him to Dysart. However, he began acting unusually on Standing Stane Road. The complainer told the court: “He says he was watching me in the mirror. “He says ‘I could have had you’. He started getting awfully giggly. “I couldn’t see him right in my mirror.” At the end of the journey, the woman parked on Fraser Place and asked for her fare. Hay paid £20 and when she reached to put the money in a bag in the driver-side door pocket, he seized her seatbelt from behind. ![]() Image: DC Thomson Terrifying attack The woman said: “He handed me the money no problem. “I went to get my bag to put the money in. “That was when the seatbelt got pulled and it pulled my neck back. “He was struggling, trying to get his hand up my skirt. “It was tight enough I couldn’t move forward. “I was hitting his hand away. “He got his hand up my inner thigh.” Hay seized the woman’s face and tried to kiss and lick her, attempting to get his tongue in her mouth. She said when she received a phone call from her next fare, Hay fled the taxi, leaving his phone in the backseat. Accused ‘not remotely credible’ Hay, 58, said the woman’s seatbelt had become stuck while she was turning to collect the fare. He said he dropped the bank note between the two front seats and while leaning in to retrieve it, she motioned to kiss him. Hay denied suggestions from fiscal depute Mat Piskorz he chose the woman’s taxi deliberately because he was attracted to her. His version of events was rejected by Sheriff John MacRitchie. He said: “I’ve carefully considered the evidence in this case. “I didn’t find the accused remotely credible or reliable. “He contradicted himself continually, one word after another. “He gave evidence which appeared nonsensical. “In the circumstances, I have to say it’s fanciful that she would have acted in this way.” He said other witnesses – including a family member, a police officer and the driver’s next fare supported the complainer’s “credibility and reliability” when outlining her “distress”. He added: “It’s clear from the evidence of the phone loss – that supports the fact that an incident took place. “It’s inconceivable in my view that this complainer would have created this out of thin air.” Hay, of Letham Terrace in Leven, was found guilty of sexual assault and will be sentenced on January 18, after reports are prepared. |

This is another conviction of a sex pest who targetted a female driver in Fife (in Kirkcaldy rather than the Levenmouth zone). Have almost zero recollection of this, despite posting it less than five months ago But, again, would think it even less likely there are many women drivers in Kirkcaldy than in Leven Fife creep stroked taxi driver’s hair and kissed her head in sexual attack viewtopic.php?f=2&t=38514&p=419538 A Kirkcaldy man stroked a taxi driver’s hair and pulled her towards him to kiss her on the forehead after paying his fare. |

Be surprised, and a tad upset if this pervert doesn't end up in jail.

Well Sussex won't be happy with this, especially in view of the highlighted paragraph Predator given prison warning after terrifying attack on Fife taxi driver A Leven man who pinned a taxi driver by her seatbelt before putting his hand up her skirt has narrowly escaped a prison sentence. Graham Hay was instead placed on a curfew after being convicted of the July 2021 attack. The 58-year-old was also placed on the Sex Offenders Register for five years. Sheriff John MacRitchie, who found the pervert guilty after a trial, said the incident was part of an escalating pattern of violence towards women. He said: “I have no doubt whatsoever that the taxi driver…was assaulted by you. “You are in self-denial and this was, as set out in the reports, due to your alcohol consumption. “This is a particularly serious matter, having touched your victims thigh under her skirt. “This was unwanted attention from you. “You have an appalling history of domestic violence against partners and ex-partners. “This is escalating violence towards females.” He said Hay was treading a “fine line” towards a custodial sentence and any further offences could see him locked up. Trial evidence The court had previously heard how Hay pinned the driver to her seat by pulling on her seatbelt and then leaned over from the back seat to sexually assault her. After being taken from Leven to his partner’s home in Dysart, Hay pounced from the back seat after paying the driver, trying to lick and kiss her while she was restrained. The predator fled after the woman received a phone call. He left his phone in the taxi by mistake. At his Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court trial, Hay claimed the driver had tried to kiss him while stuck in her seatbelt but he was found guilty of sexual assault. The sheriff said: “I didn’t find the accused remotely credible or reliable.” As well as being made subject to sex offender registration requirements, Hay, of Letham Terrace in Leven, must remain within his home between 6.30pm and 6.30am for the next 180 days. He was also placed on an 18-month supervision order with several conditions, including informing social workers of all relationships. |
