The article says the tractor and trailer were 18' long. Surely the tractor would be 18' long and the trailer 18' long?

18 feet certainly doesn't sound very long, but Google suggests tractors tend to be around 10 to 12 feet.

So an 18 foot tractor on its own sounds pretty unlikely. Of course, trailers can vary enormously in size, but presumably the one involved must have been quite compact.

So it was probably just a compact tractor and trailer combination
